Have you ever remembered someone who has served you during this life? Have you been able to make the person who has served you, happier?

Hello, everyone! This is once again your life transformation coach, Neeraj Singhvi, all set to make you live a better life.

In life, we come across various kinds of people who directly or indirectly get associated with us. Some we know while others we don’t. Some we encounter while with some we just breeze by. Some who are concerned about us while others who just don’t care about us. Some who love us while there are others who hate us. Some who help us, while there are others who wish to ignore us. Some who get referred to us while others who just meet us by chance. Some who go over the bar to bring happiness in our lives while others who look at bringing our downfall. Some who don’t have a choice in being with us while others who have a choice to leave us behind. Some with whom we get connected because it will benefit us, while with others because they will benefit someone else.

On the other hand, in this world, there are so many people who continuously strive to serve us and keep us happy. From the plumbers, electricians, homemakers, servants and maids, gardeners, milkman, newspaper guys, waiters, the guards, shopkeepers, doctors, nurses, lawyers, bus and car drivers, laundry guys and so many more, to the people who are directly related to us, but we do not even think about them after taking their services. Sit down and think about a few who have served you till now and whether you have ever thought about making their lives happier.

Whatever the circumstance, these people get connected with us in some way or the other. They are like small social dots who get connected with us in this life through an invisible cord and matter in our lives, whether in a big or small way. We don’t know how we got connected till we do.

The question is what do we do with these connections who serve us and do we really care about these connections? Always remember those who serve because it if for their services that we are comfortably living.

Let me tell you about a small story which can trigger and tickle your senses and get you to know how you can really affect everyone who gets connected with you.

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.

“How much is an ice cream sundae?” he asked.

“Fifty cents,” replied the waitress.

The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it.

“Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?” he inquired.

By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient.

“Thirty-five cents,” she brusquely replied.

The little boy again counted his coins.

“I’ll have the plain ice cream,” he said.

The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left.  When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table.  There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies.

You see,  he couldn’t  have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.

In life, we get true happiness only when you care and when we give to the world. True happiness does not come when we just receive. True happiness does not come when we only look at our needs and wants. There is a reason why someone gets connected to us. You just have to understand the ‘Why”. There is a giveaway in every takeaway. You just have to understand the “What”.

Remember, if you are looking at taking anything from anyone, even if it costs money, try to think about what you could do to make the other person happy. It will give you immense satisfaction if you can make someone else happy in the process of making yourself happy. Your needs are yours but if you care someone else’s needs as well, it will help make a difference to the world as well. The boy in this story did make a huge difference to the life of the waitress even though his capabilities were limited.

Give to the world benevolently and it will give you back. That is the law of attraction. Create relationships which last, not just while you are connected but for times when you are not connected as well. Leave a lasting impression. Do things which make you feel happy from the inside and not just externally. It will last a lifetime and carve a path of happiness for you.

The ice-cream sundae could have made the boy happier externally, given him the satisfaction of using his money to satisfy his wants, but the thought of giving, of making someone else happier, of choosing to make someone else happy, made him a happier person from his heart and that is what counts in creating a happy world. The ice-cream sundae is one-time happiness for yourself but the thought of making someone who has served you happy in the process of having the ice-cream, is two-way happiness and the universe will recognize you for that.

Tell us if you remember any incident in your lives where you have made someone who has served you, happy? Have you been able to get happiness after giving away something to someone else? We would love to know.
